
Authority can be classified into three category.
Authority granted by position: here we include the title, the position occupied in the company, and the power bestowed on a person.
Authority of personality: These are natural influential qualities, where the leader is recognized by others because of his behavior and mode of action.
Authority of knowledge. In this type of authority, we count on technical and professional know-how, apart from other types of knowledge that are essential in certain areas.
To be successful and meaningfull the second method is very effective and useful. This accounts to the fact that there is no compulsion. The trick here is to identify the natural talents which need to come from people consious methodology. The success of a project is determined largely by heirarchy structure. The very fact that there are anomalies with in the ladder do contribute heavily to the drop in success graph for economy growth. A project may be success but the turnover need not be the deserving result. As we all know that management is pedestal for success of a project.
So its high time that corporates stick to the methods which could help the heirarchy ladder formed on natural talent and not by position.
